Charge
The Strategic Advisory Board:
- Reviews the HathiTrust development agenda and considers the implications of that agenda for the future of academic libraries. Cross-functional task forces can be appointed to assist with this task.
- Reports to the Executive Committee recommended alterations in the development agenda based on such reviews.
- Based on its reviews, develops position papers for the academic library community to encourage debate or mobilize bias with regard to particular issues.
- Works with the Executive Committee to develop policies for HathiTrust and its partners.
Membership/Composition/Term:
Senior professional staff with varying portfolios, typically at the library director/dean/CIO and AUL/Associate CIO level. To include at least four representatives from the CIC and three representatives from the University of California. The CIC SDR Steering Committee appoints CIC representatives. The University of California University Librarians appoint California representatives. Each of these groups will review membership on an annual basis. The HathiTrust Executive Director participates as an ex officio member of the Strategic Advisory Board.

Reports to the HathiTrust Executive Committee.
