Welcoming New Members to HathiTrust
We are pleased to announce that Portland State University has joined the HathiTrust member community. See the full membership list on our website.
Help Shape Our Future: Submit Your Strategic Visioning Survey
We encourage you to respond to the short survey we recently sent to HathiTrust members as part of our in-depth process of exploration, discovery, and strategic visioning taking place through the end of 2023. We’ll benefit greatly from the reflections you share to help shape the future of HathiTrust. It’s designed to take approximately 7 minutes to complete and we ask you to please respond before Thursday, May 25th.
Complete the survey: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/hathitrustvision
We seek a broad range of ideas, so more than one person from your institution may complete the survey. Please forward to other individuals in your library who may have thoughts on the future of HathiTrust. Contact vision@hathitrust.org with any questions.
Staffing Changes: Farewell to Heather Christenson!
Friday, May 5, was Heather Christenson’s last day with HathiTrust. Heather joined us as the Federal Documents Program Officer in 2016, leading work to establish a more comprehensive collection of U.S. Federal Documents in HathiTrust and becoming a recognizable and reliable advisor within the Federal Documents community. Additionally, she assumed responsibilities for HathiTrust’s collections strategies and management of our Collections and Access Team. Heather was also instrumental in the development and adoption of the HathiTrust Digital Collection Principles.
Heather has been an important member of the digital library community working on mass digitization programs and projects for about 17 years — including at the California Digital Library during HathiTrust’s start-up days. She has decided now is a good time to begin exploring new work and different areas of personal interest. We will miss her greatly and wish her well in her future endeavors.
